In the current era, there is little research on the development of digital phronesis in adults, and a notable gap exists regarding how digital phronesis intersects with current wisdom on digital leadership and Canadian military leadership development. My research aims to study the intersection of digital phronesis, digital leadership, and leadership development in the context of the Canadian military. The research question being asked is, “How can Professional Development programs foster digital phronesis in Canadian military leaders?” the objectives of the research are to analyze and define the construct of digital phronesis in a military context, examine the relationship between leadership and digital phronesis; and to explore how leader development programs can foster digital phronesis from both an organizational and an individual perspective. The professional development framework being developed examines the intersection of digital ethics, digital leadership, and digital leadership. The potential contributions this research could make to the existing literature on digital phronesis include adding to the bodies of knowledge for Canadian military professional development, digital phronesis, leadership development, and the application of knowledge developed through educational materials.
